Italian Cuisine
The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.
Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.
If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.

Please see letter I wrote to management. Literally, unless you like seeing garbage all over the floor and being completely ignored... I'd skip this place. Not sure why on earth anyone would tell us this was a good place for dinner with our 4 year old... but they did! Greetings Harbor Bar, My husband, daughter and I visited your bar last night around 6pm. I wanted to let you know that it was the most awful experience I've ever had at a bar and I've been to some real dumps in my life and had better service. We sat between two picnic tables at an empty picnic table. We sat, and the elderly waitress with lots of jewelry walked past our table as she waited on the two tables on either side of us. She completely ignored us. I'm not talking about a few passes... I mean for thirty minutes she completely ignored us. I'm not sure if she hates kids, or if she didn't like the looks of us or what... but she wouldn't acknowledge us. She'd look right at us and not say a word. We actually just sat there for a long time trying to figure out how long she could possibly keep up ignoring us. FINALLY, we gave up and my husband headed inside to the bar. He got us all a drink and we expected then someone perhaps would come to see if we wanted dinner. The tables next to us flipped with new guests.. she'd greet them... the table next to us got their food delivered. Then the two Jamaican servers were around... neither acknowledged us. I finally walked back up to the bar and asked for a menu. The only reason that we didn't just leave and not have dinner is because we were tired and just wanted to get something to eat and go home.. we didn't want to deal with getting back in the car and finding somewhere else to eat. I went to the bar asked for a menu. We picked out what we were going to eat and placed our order with the bartender. Then.. all of a sudden, the old lady waitress started talking to us... she came over and said "your food should be out shortly" .. it was the strangest thing. She brought our check, brought us a styrafoam box... *even thought we asked her not to because that stuff is nasty* and like hovered around waiting for us to pay our newly delivered check. I couldn't figure out if she thought we were going to try to leave without paying or if she wanted a tip or what... it was the strangest and worst service I've ever had. The chicken fingers were great. The pork sandwich was cold and bland. I also ordered the "upgrade shrimp skewer for $6 to my meal" even though the bartender insisted it was not a thing until I pointed it out on the menu. It was old shrimp, awesome seasoning... way to go on that, that were like so old and cold there's no way that they had been cooked any time in the last hour. I'm not sure why someone would serve me a skewer of old shrimp... but then none of your place made sense to me. I was disappointed to see plastic cups laying all over the grass and watch your staff completely ignore them. I watched cups blow right into the river. The garbage coming off of your place is polluting the place. I was disappointed to see a staff that cared so little about the opportunity to have a pretty cool spot by the riverside. Anyhow, that's my story. I manage a large restaurant in Minneapolis and just thought you should know what goes on in your place on a Sunday night in the summer time.

Eating here in the summer is a must. Outdoor city with a gorgeous view of the best river city in the country. Their Cajun/Jamaican summer menu, music, and shopping brings a flavor of the South to the chill of the North.

The Harbor is an odd spot across the river from Red Wing. The food is quite good and portions large, but a tad pricey for what it is. The beer selection is nice, with Spotted Cow on tap. Service is unpredictable, but usually cheery. The place is QUITE casual, bordering on dive-y, with some fairly charming Caribbean decor. In general, it's a really fun place to hang out, particularly in summer, as the tables along the Mississippi offer an awesome view of Red Wing and the bluffs.

This place has a great view for outdoor dining. The king shrimp is so good. I had the Alfredo primavera with shrimp and it was delicious!!!!! Hostess was very pleasant and attentive. Glad we chose to eat here while here for the night.

This is a GREAT destination! Sometimes you forget you're in Wisconsin. The food is great. Crazy fun times. There is camping & if you have a boat you can stay at their marina, cuz you don't want to be driving after you've hung out here. Great rum drinks!

We were in Red Wing, killing time down by the river before a wedding at the St. James Hotel, and looked across to the Wisconsin side to see a beckoning mass of cycles/bikers/music/food at the Harbor Bar. It was a mix of the hard-core bikers and some weekend slumming suburbanite types. Great outside area with seats in swings, covered and open patio, and chairs on the lawns leading down the hill to the small marina. Beer selection is decent (we all had Red Stripe). Food is good (I had a great jerk pork sandwich with perfect fries) but the wait was interminable!

I came here with my boyfriend, his mom and grandma. The place is cool, great view of the river. I would like to say, I will give this bar another chance, and hopefully my next experience will be better. We ordered 4 appetizers to split between the 4 Us. the food took forever, over 30min.... For fried food that's ridiculous..when the food came we asked for plates since we were all sharing. The waitress seemed irritated about that when she came back several minutes later she gave us 3 plates.... When we asked for a fourth plate since grandma was eating off of a napkin she seems even more irritated.. Needless to say she never came back with the plate. I asked for a water right away when we ordered our drinks.... I never got a water. We saw some delicious looking bloody Mary's going outside and decided to order some ourselves. The people outside got drinks in tall glasses..... We were sitting inside and our drinks were short and plastic... All the little things that usually wouldn't be a big deal started to add up for one pretty awful experience here.... Again I hope to have a better experience next time, but seems like if you are not a regular you are not welcome

Great patio with music that's dog friendly. Perfect spot for a beer after a hike up the mountain!

We were so excited to find this place on the river with great quality Jamaican music including the cutest tiki bar. They also featured a Jamaican menu of jerk and blackened food. We love jerk. I make it all the time, and we frequent the two most popular restaurants in Minneapolis for jerk/Jamaican food (Harry's and Marla's) all the time. I ordered the jerk pork sandwich, and the bun was excellent. The meat was dry and tough, and there was nothing whatsoever about that sauce that tasted like any jerk seasoning I have had over the last 30 years. They serve a side of it in a plastic sized thimble with your sandwich, and it tasted like watered down soy sauce. None of that sweet, spicy, fruity, gingery flavors of jerk. My husband ordered the chicken jerk sandwich with mozzarella and mushrooms (mozzarella on jerk?). It was impossible to tell the difference between his chicken and my pork. They were both just dry and tough. Sadly, that was the least of our problems. We were seated for 15 minutes before someone said, "Someone will be with you in a minute." Fifteen minutes later, that same person watched my husband get up and go to the bar to order drinks, and she said, "I will get someone with you in just a minute," so my husband sat back down. Five minutes later, we had a server. This young server was extremely conscientious and seemed concerned that we had to wait so long for service. (I wish I had gotten her name. She was the tall, young very thin woman. The other woman who ignored us several times was older and not so thin.) I don't know why it took so long for us to get those drinks, but I am certain it was not her fault as she literally ran from our table to get the order in. She seemed very concerned. When we wanted another round of drinks, there was not only no servers anywhere, there was also NO bartender because this time my husband finally went to the bar. He ended up, after 5 minutes, going to the inside bar for service. Ultimately, we did not tip. But this is not where the story ends. When we went to leave, we found our server crying. She was so hurt that we had received such terrible service. She explained that no one had ever told her we were there to begin with. And I believe her 100% bottom line. Here's the reality...no one cries for letting down a customer because they KNEW we were there. There's nothing in human nature that could ever explain that to make sense whatsoever....ever. So MANAGEMENT: This is your problem. Someone better get a system in place to make sure that when customers arrive, someone notices them, and then that someone follows through to make sure they get service. In other words, get-a-manager. We felt terrible today. We had crappy food, crappy service, but left your place feeling crappy in our hearts because you let the only woman we could see in your establishment that gave a rip about your business be forced to a state of tears because she couldn't do her job due to your ineptitude.

Horrible service. Had to get our own drinks at the bar, server finally noticed we were there and then waited 45 minutes for a bad burger. Not to mention the guy at the bar who used the f word constantly. Seemed like it you were not a regular you weren't welcome.

Horrible service. We rode down with 10 motorcycles. When we got there, we were served by two of the wait staff. They "numbered" us to make sure they got the orders correct. When the orders came, 45 minutes later, the wait staff held up a plate and said, "who had the chicken sandwich with fries", rather than having any idea who food belong to who. They also had incorrect orders and claimed that "someone must be eating your burger. This is all that is left". I could not order a salad instead of fries with a sandwich. I had to order both. And no low-cal dressings even though they came in packets. When we got our bill, we were charged a "band" fee on the bill of varying amounts from $0.25 to $0.50. The wait staff had no idea what it was, but said there was a band playing upstairs. Horrible. Horrible. Horrible. Don't waste your time. Food was so-so.

We were in Red Wing on Memorial Day and while walking near the river we spotted this restaurant with a lot of people sitting outside. It was a beautiful day and we wanted to eat outside, so we drove over the bridge and found a seat in the patio area where there were many other patrons drinking beer and enjoying the weather. Our waitress came over and it was clear that she was not having a good day. We asked her what kind of beer they had and she glibly responded, "We don't have any beer," which was puzzling as everyone around us had beer. I walked over to the Tiki bar and asked the bartender what was on tap and he referred me to the bar inside. I ordered a beer from the bartender and asked why the waitress would tell me there was no beer and he said he would talk to her. By this time, we were getting bad vibes. We looked at the menu and when the sullen waitress returned, we asked about some of the entrees, and she said, "We don't have that..and we don't have that." It was very difficult to decipher what she was saying as she mumbled almost incoherently. To illustrate, she pointed to the left side of the menu and indicated about half of the entire menu. At that point we were feeling like we were really screwing up her day and besides there was really nothing on the menu, so we decided to move on. Overall, it left us with a weird feeling like we may have been in a Twilight Zone. I think we must not have passed some arbitrary test about whether we met their criterion of "acceptable" patrons. We will not be going back anytime soon.

A fun place to stop at while boating down to Treasure Island, what appears to be a traditional Midwestern burger joint is actually a good Caribbean restaurant. The food is as other reviews mention, somewhat pricey for what you get, but we enjoyed the nachos (portion a little small), and the tasty chicken sandwich. Service was very ordinary, I too go the impression our server was inconvenienced by her job and was very short with us, I think she said 5 words the entire time we were there to us. But the food was delivered hot and prompt. I guess that when a person goes to a place for cocktails and food on the river; in a very casual setting, one shoudl not expect 5 star service. The bathrooms were small, and seemed not well cleaned/well kept. The banana daiquiris were good.

Had a very good burger. Menu was a bit pricey, but it's a fun and friendly place with good ambiance in an interesting setting.

We grabbed an outdoor table by the river and watched the boats go by. It was Saturday and there was good live music. They had a steampunk night going on and there were people in costume. We ordered a couple beers on tap, listened to the live music and watched my 9 year old daughter dance. The Ellsworth cheese curds were delicious!

Bomb Bloody served by Jamaican woman. Doesn't get much better! Super fun bar/restaurant when in Red Wing.

I've been to the Harbor many times and never had a problem that Hager C has had, but then I'm not at the "bar" late night. The Friday fish fry is a plate served 'all you can eat' and is one of the better fish fry's around. Either beer battered or broiled, both are good. The Jamaican cole slaw is interesting. The rest of the menu is fine, a bit pricey but as stated generous portions. The restrooms could use some work, and they are not handicapped accessible. The outdoor area facing the River is truly a good spot in the warmer months to have a cocktail or something to eat and watch the water flow.

this is a straight up titty-mama type biker/dive bar and I love it. It is some-what jamaican in theme and they typically have an outdoor grill loaded up with jerk chicken that is wonderful. My favorite thing here is the banana daiquiris made with freaking fresh bananas and yummy yummy rum....they also serve up an authentic caipirinha which is the official brazilian rum drink and they are the best ever....there are little hammocks to sit in and also picnic tables to enjoy outside...it is always busy and you will wait for a table and service that is just how it is folks when your that damn good. They typically have some live music on the weekends in the summer reggae typically which is fabulous. Our waitress was about 70 years old with some long fake braided hair clipped in and short short lycra shorts and she was so leatherly looking from years and years of sun exposure she was almost petrified--but she got our order and never let us run out of drinks so she is a winner in my book.....I would highly recommend going here on a lazy weekend afternoon and staying until sunset and chillaxin---

We stopped here after a jet-skiing excursion on the river on a Wednesday afternoon. Red Wing, MN, doesn't seem to have any other public docks available, and Harbor Bar was the only place we found to dock our jet skis and grab a bite to eat. As first-timers, our impression was not favorable. Coming from the dock, it was unclear where we were supposed to enter the restaurant. We looked at a couple different exterior doors that faced the river, but neither was obvious as a patron entrance. Thankfully, another patron noticed our confusion and directed us to the correct door. The inside of the facility was a pretty typical dark and dank bar atmosphere that reeked of Pine Sol, so we chose to eat outside on the patio. We found a lack of viable seating options for our party of four, but settled on a too-small table in the shade. Our waitress was very unfriendly. When she greeted us at our table and took our drink order, she said she would get a rag to wipe down our filthy table. Several minutes later, she returned with a full drink tray and a rag. We removed our menus from the table, anticipating she would wipe it down and then set down our drinks. Instead, she set our drinks down first, then haphazardly wiped around them. Then, when she began to take our food orders, she barked, "What do you want?" in a very rude tone. Her overall demeanor towards us made us feel like we were a burden to her. However, we overheard her interacting with other patrons nearby, and she was much more friendly and enthusiastic, so I am not sure what we did to merit the rude treatment. I ordered the veggie wrap, which came with "fresh cut french fries". The wrap was comprised of stir-fried vegetables. It was tasty, but the entire underside of the wrap was soggy from whatever sauce they used to stir fry the veggies. In turn, most of my fresh cut french fries were also soaked from the puddle of sauce on my plate, but even the ones that weren't touching the sauce were soggy. A couple of positives: Our food came quickly and it seems they are attempting to create a fun outdoor environment with funky, colorful picnic tables and hammocks hanging about, but when the service and food aren't up to par, putting lipstick on a pig isn't usually enough to impress patrons. Overall, we were not impressed with anything about this place and will probably not choose this restaurant again.
